      This weekend at The Cinema

Forget the sun, go sit in the dark and enjoy a movie.

We film fanatics don't need an excuse to go to the cinema, but it's a welcomed site to see grey, muggy sky's fall over the last day or so and avoid those judging glances that sunny weather can bring when you want to indulge in a 2pm film.

And what better excuse to escape the sunshine than this weekend's welcome return of our favourite caped crusader Superman. Zach Snyder's highly anticipated Man of Steel had its UK Premier last night and it was  a very British affair opening up the umbrella's and shielding Henry Cavill and Co-Star Amy Adams from the London rain. It seems the weather is definitely on the movie goers side and encouraging  us to abandon all hopes for a nice weekend and head indoors to watch Superman fighting General Zod. Good work, Weather.

If you're fed up of men in tight suits facing moral dilemas and saving the girl, perhaps you'd prefer some Shakespeare? Director Joss Whedon took a break from Assembling Avengers last year just long enough to recreate Shakespeare's classic romantic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing. Often a modern adaptation of Shakespeare can feel too gimmicky but Whedon appears to have made a classy movie if the trailers are anything to go by and picked some of his favourite actors from the likes of Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer to do this adaptation justice.

And if Shakespeare isn't what you're into there's still plenty of films on to keep any cinephile happy this weekend, be it Michael Douglas and Matt Damon an eccentric portrayal of Liberace's life in Behind the Candelabra or Michael Shannon's icy killer drama, The Ice Man. Either way, forget the outdoors and support your local cinema this weekend!
