Art-Rock band Sylvette release their new single ‘Memories (Falling)’ this February.

Released on 15th February 2019, the single is taken from their forthcoming EP, produced by Jake Evans and New Order’s Phil Cunningham.

Hailing from Manchester, the 5-piece band met at the Royal Northern College of Music.

Inspired by artists such as Radiohead and Jeff Buckley, their critically acclaimed music takes listeners on a journey with their imaginative and powerful sound.

The band is named after Sylvette, one of the artist Pablo Picasso’s muses, after lead singer Charlie Sinclair saw a portrait of her in Barcelona.

Charlie contacted Sylvette, who is now in her 80s and is an artist herself. The two became friends and Sylvette kindly let the band use one of her own paintings as the artwork for their debut album.

Charlie Sinclair also recently performed with a string quartet at Sylvette’s art exhibition at the Mall Gallery in London.

Following the release of ‘Memories (Falling)’, the band will tour the UK, including a date at Sound Food and Drink in Liverpool.

Sylvette's tour visits Sound Food and Drink in Liverpool on 1st March 2019.
