It’s that time of year again; get ready for dazzling costumes and incredible music as Brazillica Festival hits the streets of Liverpool this weekend!

A highlight of the Festival year, Brazillica brings together music, art and dance in one amazing celebration! The highly anticipated ‘Carnival Queen Competition’ will take place on Friday 17th July at Alma De Cuba, featuring awe-inspiring dance routines from some of the world’s best dancers and hosted by DJ Ellie Phillips.

If that wasn’t enough, shoppers can enjoy the sounds of the festival in Clayton Square on Saturday 18th July. Liverpool’s own Katumba will be there to entertain the crowds, along with Beat ‘N’ Drum from Belfast and France’s Samba Funk Factory. A bit of dance, a bit of music – this is what Saturdays were made for!

The music doesn’t stop there however, as Brazillica continues into the night at District and Constellations in the Baltic Quarter. From 10pm on Saturday, you can enjoy Samba, Latin and House Vibes until the early hours with a £5 wristband for both venues!

The festival isn’t all music and dance though; FACT on Wood Street will be showing twelve films in the build up to the festival and throughout Brazillica, to coincide with the ‘Graffiti Art Exhibition’.

If you haven’t already experienced the incredible Brazillica, take a walk into Liverpool this weekend and see what you will discover. It is a festival not to missed!
