The definitive
Liverpool Listings Guide

If you’ve got a ticket for the races and haven’t managed to snag a suitable slip or grab a gorgeous gown yet, Bijou Vintage in West Derby Village may have the answer.

Specialising in vintage and retro clothing and jewellery sourced from all corners of the globe, they’re the Aladdin’s Cave for fashionable frocks.

The Bijou team are a friendly, welcoming bunch and will do their best to ensure you leave with a one-off that you won’t see anyone else wearing come race day.

An on-site vintage seamstress (she’s not old just specialises in alterations for vintage wear - and for those of you who, like me didn’t know there’s a difference, there is!) can re-work the piece you have your eye on so that it fits in all the right places or is transformed to a style that suits your needs. And the turnaround is usually within a day so skidaddle down...before Starter’s Orders.

Bijou Vintage is soon to become the home of The Celebrity Closet. Re-selling clothes or accessories donated by celebrity supporters at a fraction of their original value, TCC will raise invaluable funding for Alder Hey’s Imagine Appeal.

TCC also welcomes donations from non-celebs who have designer couture they are happy to donate. The donor will receive a certificate thanking them for their support and be kept up to date when it’s sold. TCC will use Twitter and Facebook to communicate regular updates.

Any alterations of clothes purchased from TCC will be carried out free of charge. With donations to The Celebrity Closet already received from Alex Curran and Coleen Rooney, it’s sure to generate plenty of interest when doors are open to the public.

To donate items to The Celebrity Closet and have them collected email bijouvintage99@yahoo. or pop into the shop to drop them off.
